& Other Stories just released a summer-ready designer collab we can

From JW Anderson x Uniqlo (opens in new tab) to H&M and Moschino (opens in new tab), designer collaborations have become a hallmark of the high street in recent years. Retailers are creating moments of excitement, while simultaneously allowing customers to get their hands on limited-edition designer collections that they might not otherwise be able to access.

& Other Stories, in particular, has become a brand renowned for its collabs. Last year the retailer collaborated with Next In Fashion’s season one winner, Minju Kim (opens in new tab) and prior to that the brand created a collection with beloved UK contemporary womenswear designer Rejina Pyo (opens in new tab)

Today marks the debut of & Other Stories’ latest designer collab, and yes, it’s just as impressive as you might expect. For 2023, the retailer has worked with the South African designer Sindiso Khumalo.

Known for her bold use of colour and fun, statement prints, Sindiso Khumalo is based in Cape Town and founded her eponymous brand in 2015. The designer has a penchant for creating incredible patterns, many of which are inspired by her heritage.

8 investment watches to know from Watches & Wonders

Heritage ruled at this year’s Watches & Wonders, with a host of luxury brands digging into their archives for the hundreds of new watches debuting at the world’s biggest watch fair.

From tongue-in-cheek references from Rolex and Chanel, who offered playful spins on their much-loved watch collections, to the celebration of intricate jewellery techniques from Cartier and Piaget, discover the top eight watches to invest in now, and love forever.

1. Chanel Première Robot Watch

(Image credit: Courtesy of Chanel )

In 1987, Chanel surprised the fashion industry with the release of their first watch, the Première. Taking its cue from both the architectural silhouette of Chanel’s home, the Place Vendôme, and the distinctive shape of the stopper of the N°5 fragrance bottle, it intertwined couture moments throughout with its distinctive leather chain nodding to the classic handbags. A precious playfulness is introduced into this new version guarded by a robot in ceramic, blackened titanium and onyx.

2. Cartier Clash (Un)limited Watch

Jewellery watches don’t need to be delicate, and the Clash (Un)limited watch eschews an overly feminine aesthetic, focusing instead on gloriously bold design. Drawing on jewellery artistic director, Jeanne Toussaint’s legacy, this piece plays on her fascination with ball bearings. Here they are cast in a newly-created violet gold, spinning on their axis and nestled between sharply drawn brushed and satin-finished gold in a chic contrast between precious and punk.

3. Vacheron Constantin Overseas Self-Winding Watch

An image of the Vacheron Constantin Overseas Self-Winding Watch with stunning bright and deep sapphire blue face

(Image credit: Courtesty of Vacheron Constantin)

No-one does classic watches better than Vacheron Constantin, who this year rethink the colour palette, adding a twist to the Overseas self-winding model with new versions in pink gold and steel. Cutting a slender case silhouette, a chunky gold bracelet is offset by a brilliant blue lacquered dial. For a casual look, switching it up is easy too: each watch comes both with the integrated bracket and one in rubber and one in calfskin, which can be effortlessly changed at home.

An animated quote that reads, "Heritage ruled at this year’s Watches & Wonders, with a host of luxury brands digging into their archives for the hundreds of new watches debuting at the world’s biggest watch fair."

4. Rolex Oyster Perpetual Watch

A full image of the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Watch alongside a detailed close up shot showing the watch face with several colourful circles artfully placed

Decided on a Rolex but unsure which one to go for? We love the new Oyster Perpetual model, which nods to a classic Rolex design and has fun doing so. The lacquered dial on the familiar face pops with multi-coloured bubbles, each one nodding to the five colours introduced by Rolex in 2020. The motif—appropriately dubbed ‘Celebration’—makes a cheerful foil for the clean Oystersteel of the case (Rolex’s own stainless steel alloy), set onto the three-piece link bracelet introduced by Rolex in the Thirties.

5. Piaget Limelight High Jewellery Cuff Watch

The Piaget Limelight High Jewellery Cuff Watch is chunky but refined with an artistic impression of blue

Horological codes meet a high jewellery heritage in Piaget’s new pieces, which stay faithful to a 1957 philosophy dictating that only precious metals were to be used in their watches. Now, Piaget is looking back to the gold cuff watches introduced in 1969, with a gold bracelet expertly engraved with minuscule grooves which imbues the bracelet with a fluidity, making a sculptural foil for the bright turquoise dial.

6. Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Watch

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Watch champions the colour emerald

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso rewrote watchmaking codes upon its debut in 1931, epitomising Art Deco design in its clean lines and angular motifs. While originally created for polo players—who could flip the dial over to protect it during the game—the watch has since been rethought in elegantly feminine variations. With its chevrons and zigzags in bold coloured enamel, these new pieces return squarely to their Art Deco beginnings.

7. Van Cleef & Arpels Perlée Watch

The Van Cleef & Arpels Perlée Watch has gold detailing

(Image credit: Courtesy of Van Cleef & Arpels)

Golden beads bring a vintage elegance to the Perlée collection of watches from Van Cleef & Arpels. Taking inspiration from the delicate beaded silhouettes of the jewellery pieces, here the double row of beads in rose gold circle a shimmering white mother-of-pearl dial, making for an elegant cocktail watch.

8. Hermès Slim d’Hermès Cheval de Légende

An image of the Hermès Slim d’Hermès Cheval de Légende with silver face and face detailing

A silk scarf designed by artist Benoit Pierre Emery, which drew a galloping horse in gold dots on silk, is the inspiration for this Slim d’Hermès watch. Created by placing 1,678 rose gold beads, one by one, into laser-carved cavities on the golden surface of the watch face, this limited piece is the ultimate expression of the craftsmanship Hermès is rightly celebrated for.

The Fendi x Tiffany & Co. collaboration launches today – here

“It’s not a bag, it’s a Baguette.” Those were the famous words spoken by Sarah Jessica Parker in a season three episode of Sex And The City, when her character Carrie Bradshaw (opens in new tab) was in the midst of being mugged. It was this phrase that helped to skyrocket the Fendi baguette to fame, solidifying the item as an in-demand, must-have accessory (opens in new tab) and one of the best designer handbags (opens in new tab) of all time.

Now over twenty years later, the bag (or should I say, baguette) is still as popular as ever.

Last September, Fendi celebrated 25 years of its iconic design with a dedicated runway show in New York. For the event, Fendi called upon modelling superstars like Linda Evangelista and had the industry A-list seated front row, Kate Moss and Kim Kardashian included.

While the runway itself was much-talked-about and publicised highly on social media, the event was so all-encompassing that it was easy to miss the finer details. Like the announcement and debut of a Fendi x Tiffany & Co. collaboration, for example.

Yes, Fendi and Tiffany have worked together to create a unique interpretation of the famous baguette bag and the coveted item is finally set to be released today!

Of course, it will come as no surprise to learn that Tiffany’s Fendi Baguette will be available in the jeweller’s signature blue shade. The collaboration includes three different interations of the baguette, including a medium size handbag, a nano bag and an even smaller bag charm.

Debuted on the runway by none other than Bella Hadid, the collaboration also includes a reimagining of Fendi’s iconic hardware. While every baguette comes adorned with a Fendi FF Zucca clasp, Tiffany has added its signature Tiffany T into the mix, combining both brands’ logos in one. It’s a true match made in fashion heaven.

The collection is set to debut today, but will only be available to purchase for 24 hours, while quantities remain available. To purchase a piece from the collection, you’ll need to join the waiting room on Tiffany’s website (opens in new tab), which is set to open at 8:30am EST (1:30 PM in the UK).

While it might be somewhat of a feat to get your hands on a Tiffany & Co x Fendi baguette, the iconic handbag (without the Tiffany blue hue) is readily available online. Keep scrolling to shop other Fendi baguettes below, including vintage and preloved iterations.

Q&A With BYBI Founders Elsie & Dominika – Latest In Beauty Blog

To celebrate our Haul of Fame brand of the month, we chatted with BYBI founders Elsie and Dominika to chat about all things skincare. As a B Corp Certified brand, BYBI brings you skin positive, pro-planet beauty.

Keep reading to learn more about the brand and the founders’ must-have skincare products.

1. Could you tell us a bit about BYBI and the journey of how the brand evolved to what it is today?

We started BYBI in 2017 with a passion for natural skincare & conscious beauty. Thinking about our overall skin wellness, we applied the same principles of healthy eating to our skin and began crafting beauty recipes literally at the kitchen sink! We shared the journey on our blog Clean Beauty Insiders and quickly saw there were others interested in beauty with great natural ingredients and strong ethics!

From humble beginnings crafting DIY beauty recipes in our kitchens, we went on to train as skincare formulators to understand how to harness the power of potent natural ingredients. We had a book published by Penguin and started a successful podcast along the way!

If you compare eating an orange with taking a vitamin C tablet, you’ll understand how we think about skincare. We wanted to bottle natural efficacy. We’re all about advanced, complex, natural formulations that are packed full of actives & super easy to use. The quest for results is what drives us–immediate and longer term benefits for glowing, healthy skin. And we don’t believe it should cost the earth–neither literally, nor environmentally.

2. Tell us a little bit about each of your skin story (i.e. What are your skin concerns or goals).

Dominika: My skin can suffer from dryness and dehydration, particularly in the colder months so I’m always looking for ingredients and products that will both improve moisture levels but also truly hydrate. Hyaluronic acid is my best friend in winter and I love rich, thick creams to lock in moisture as well as serums to optimise skin glow!

Elsie: I’m always looking for my skincare to help with redness and undereye circles. I find ingredients high in antioxidants like vitamin c are a great way to even skin tone and anything calming and anti-inflammatory helps with reducing redness, so I love CBD and oats. For under the eye it’s all about ingredients that brighten –  arnica and algae are favourites!

3. If you were stranded on an island and had access to only 3 BYBI products, what would they be?

Milk Melt – our creamy cleanser is perfect for everyone so this would keep our skin clean, clear and calm on that island! It has oat milk and prebiotics to preserve the skin’s microbiome as well as keep it soft and balanced. It’s so good we sometimes use it as a body wash too!

Mega Mist – the ultimate hydration powerhouse with hyaluronic acid to keep skin soft and plump! It can go in place of a toner (after cleansing, before mositurising) or under/on top of makeup. It’s also amazing to keep skin hydrated throughout the day so would be great on a hot (or cold) island!

Bakuchiol Booster – our award winning bestseller that’s a natural and vegan alternative to retinol. Keeps skin strong, youthful and bouncy without any irritation so it’s a must have in anyone’s daily routine. Retinol (vitamin A) is one of the most famous skincare ingredients in the world, known for its collagen-boosting and skin rebuilding properties, but it’s very aggressive. Bakuchiol Booster mimics the skin benefits of retinol but without the side effects, making it suitable for everyone including sensitive skin or for those pregnant or nursing.

4. Do you have a favourite skincare ingredient?

We love AHAs which are a form of chemical exfoliants and work by eating the glue that holds together your dead skin cells. A buildup of dead skin cells on the skin’s surface can often lead to dull, uneven complexions and accentuates fine lines and wrinkles. Exfoliating with AHAs removes this layer, in turn ensuring that your youngest, freshest layer of skin is on top and looking vibrant and glowing! AHAs can be found in our Acid Gold face mask and Day Glow daily tonic.

5. What do you think is the most underrated skincare ingredient?

Humectants are an unsung hero. The most famous being hyaluronic acid but some underrated ones like glycerin that literally draw moisture and hydration to the skin, helping prevent dryness but also giving a visibly plumping effect!

6. What are some of the must-have BYBI products for a winter skincare routine?

BYBI

Anything in our hot pink range was quite literally formulated for dry/sensitive skin and cold winter months! Winter months are harsh on the skin as low humidity levels decrease your skin’s moisture and it’s moving between extreme temperatures indoors and outdoors can be taxing on the skin’s natural oil levels.  Strawberry Booster is a softening facial oil that replenishes natural oils and Night Nutrition is a rich overnight cream packed with superfood proteins from kale, carrot and lemon that repair dry skin as you sleep. Everything in the hot pink range is suitable for sensitive, very dry, flaky or irritated skin.

7. What do you consider the most vital step in your routines?

SPF is critical to keep skin safe and protected all year round (yes even in winter please!). A less talked about step is a thorough cleanse, we believe a two-step cleanse is most effective to remove all dirt, grime and oil as well as support the skin barrier. Not cleansing skin properly can lead to congestion, break outs, dullness and inflammation, so it really is vital! We suggest step one remove makeup with an oil-based cleanser such as Swipe Clean and step two remove all other dirt and grime with a water-based cleanser such as Milk Melt.

8. What’s next for BYBI in the new year?

BYBI

Our mission is to help people feel positively glowing by making beauty easy and responsible, and next year is all about products that make you feel good, developed in a sustainable way! We have some innovative and very exciting textures, ingredients and formats in our NPD calendar for next year that we can’t wait to launch!
