Emily Ratajkowski was just spotted in the cool LA-based brand Gen Z loves

Emily Ratajkowski—model, actress and potential new love interest of Harry Styles (opens in new tab), —has returned from her recent jaunt to Tokyo (opens in new tab) and is back in New York City. The star was spotted out and about yesterday on the streets of NYC, and while many are still talking about her dating life, I personally am more interested in the chic outfits she is wearing.

Appearing alongside a friend, Ratajkowski was spotted wearing a printed black and white dress, knee-high vintage (opens in new tab) Dior boots and Miu Miu’s new designer bag (opens in new tab), the Nappa Leather pocket bag.

Although Ratajkowski’s look feels vintage-inspired, the dress is actually from the new collection by cult label Miaou. Released as a part of the brand’s latest range, the Karina dress is made from recycled polyester and features an asymmetrical hem and all-over abstract print. (Interestingly, many are likening the look to Carrie Brandshaw’s iconic newspaper dress from the early seasons of Sex and The City.)

Princess Beatrice just wore the dress brand that royals and celebrities love

It is not often that you spot not one, but two royals in the same style of dress. Last night, Princess Beatrice stepped out in London to attend a launch event for the “BBC Earth Experience” at Daikin Centre. For the occasion, the royal (opens in new tab) opted to wear a long, navy dress by The Vampire’s Wife.

The dress features a cinched waist, puff sleeve and ruffle hem, in a silhouette which has become synonymous with The Vampire’s Wife brand.

The Vampire’s Wife seems to be a favourite of Princess Beatrice (opens in new tab), as the royal has been spotted in the brand several times. In fact, Beatrice wore this exact navy dress to last year’s Platinum Jubilee Party in June. (We love a royal who isn’t afraid to outfit repeat.)

Though, this isn’t the only piece by The Vampire’s Wife in Princess Beatrice’s wardrobe. The royal has been spotted on several occasions in designs by the UK-based brand. Beatrice wore a sparkling green iteration of the dress to attend Ellie Goulding’s wedding and has also been seen in a floral design in the same silhouette.

Evidently, Princess Beatrice isn’t the only royal with an affinity for The Vampire’s Wife. The Princess Of Wales, Kate Middleton has also been spotted in the brand several times.

In 2020, while on a trip to Dublin, Middleton was seen in the exact same sparkling green (opens in new tab) Falconetti dress that Beatrice had previously worn. While last year, on a trip to the Bahamas, Kate wore a maxi-length, pink design (opens in new tab) by the brand.

And it’s not just royals. The Vampire’s Wife is just as in demand amongst celebrity clientele, too. Over the years we have spotted the likes of Alexa Chung, Sienna Miller, Olivia Wilde and Miranda Kerr in designs by the label.

Indeed, if there is one stand-out dress silhoutte that is beloved by royals and celebrities alike, this The Vampire’s Wife design might just be it.

Zara is the most listed pre-loved brand of 2022, but could this actually be highlighting a larger problem?

As the year draws to a close, companies are beginning to take stock of the last 12 months, analysing all that has happened in 2022. From the top trends to the most in-demand accessories, brands are set on revealing all the data and insight you could want to know.

Today, a new study has been released, showcasing data on the most listed brands on resale sites (opens in new tab). Savoo has analysed the number of listings across resale sites including Depop (opens in new tab), eBay, Vestiaire Collective and ASOS Marketplace, to determine the top listed pre-loved brand.

According to Savoo (opens in new tab), Zara has earned the number one spot as the most-listed brand of 2022, followed by Nike, Adidas and H&M.

Savoo’s statistics state that there are currently 439,696 Zara items listed on Depop, 170,000 Zara items listed on eBay, 57,781 Zara items listed on Vestiaire Collective, and 3,139 Zara items listed on ASOS Marketplace.

This totals 670,616 second-hand Zara items that are currently available across the four resale sites.

While this may seem like a positive step forward for fashion circularity, these statistics don’t offer any details on how many Zara items are actually being sold. So it’s unclear whether or not there is enough demand to meet this very large supply.

Although the number of Zara items available stands at well over half a million (and is most likely climbing by the day), by contrast, the report states that there are only 590 monthly searches for secondhand items Zara items worldwide.

This statistic comes at an interesting time, as Zara has actually just launched its very own resale platform. The brand recently launched Zara Resell which allows customers to list their pre-loved Zara items to be resold directly on the Zara website.

Alongside this, Zara has also launched a repair service, meaning that you can now send in your damaged Zara items to be repaired, thereby extending the life span of their clothing. According to the website, the service allows customers to fix a button for £3, adjust the hem of a dress for £15, replace a zip for £15 or ‘debobble’ a knit for £8.

The fact that Zara has now created a specific space for customers to resell and repair their items is undeniably a step in the right direction. We can only hope that shoppers will continue to consume consciously, buying items they actually intend to keep and wear for years to come.

Brand of the Week: Nude by Nature – Latest In Beauty Blog

The time has come, it’s another Brand of the Week – and what an exciting one it is too. If you’re anything like us, you’ll spend a lot of time trying to make the right life choices; exercising, eating healthily, drinking enough water, the list goes on. When it comes to skincare, we’re always searching for the best products for our skin; ones that eliminate harmful toxins and chemicals we can’t pronounce. So, why don’t we look for the good in our makeup too? Well, ladies, now you can, because this week we’ve pulled out all the stops with a Nude by Nature takeover. The brand will be introducing one of their cult products each day, so make sure you keep checking back to avoid missing out ?!

nude

WHO IS NUDE BY NATURE?

Nude by Nature, founded in 2008, is Australia’s No 1 mineral makeup brand. Our favourite thing? The brand is cruelty-free and harnesses natural ‘good for you ingredients’. Formulas hone in on powerful native Australian vitamins and essentials oils, including kaolin, qunadong, macadamia, shea butter, avocado and vitamin E as well as bamboo powder for a soft-focus finish, and antioxidant-rich Australian native kakadu plum and lily pilly to benefit the skin. All formulations have been developed to provide different finishes and shades that offer an uncompromised finish, without the toxins. At last, flawless skin comes naturally!

Nude-By-Nature_LiB

WHAT WE LOVE

Here at LiB, we’ve tried many products over the years, and a stand-out for us has been the Nude by Natural Powder Foundation. Did you know that one is sold every minute? That’s pretty impressive. The feather-light SPF 15 Radiant Loose Powder Foundation formula adapts naturally to skin tones, evens out complexion, covers redness and pigmentation, and conceals enlarged pores – that’s a lot of our skin woes sorted in one hit, we love it! This is best used with the brand’s Flawless Brush – use this to gently push into the mesh sifter on the Radiant Loose Powder Foundation, tap away the excess and then buff the powder onto skin in light, circular motions. Start at the centre of the face and work outward until your desired level of coverage is achieved.

We’re also huge fans of its liquid big sister, the Nude by Nature Flawless Foundation, an oil and fragrance-free formula that is buildable from medium to full coverage while providing a long-wearing, second skin type finish. Our top tip? Apply using the Nude by Nature Buffing Brush for a seamless finish and always apply over a primer – the Nude by Nature Perfecting Primer is great for this as it creates a smooth, even base for makeup.

So, why is mineral makeup the better option? The major benefit, in a nutshell, is that it’s good for your skin. Mineral makeup products, such as those from Nude by Nature, do not contain fillers or controversial synthetic ingredients such as parabens, chemical dyes, silicones and other film forming ingredients that can clog pores and hinder skin from ‘breathing’ naturally. This can prolong and irritate existing skin problems as well as cause issues with the skin, such as redness, blemishes and acne.

TOP TIPS

So, you’ve discovered the products, now how to use them? We turned to Nude by Nature’s Brand Ambassador, Clint Dowdell for his top tips:
