For most of us, denim is a staple part of our wardrobe, acting as the foundation for everything from effortless everyday outfits to the eternally chic jeans and a nice top. Working for all age groups, styles and scenarios, there really is nothing like throwing on a great pair of jeans or an on-trend oversized trucker jacket to give your outfit a little added edge.
And, if there’s one brand that fulfills all our denim needs, as well as key pieces to wear alongside them, it’s Levi’s. Founded in 1853, they’re the original creator of high-quality denim that’s equal parts classic and cool, and even over 150 years later, they’re showing no signs of stopping.
The brand’s latest campaign, Back in Blue, champions all things denim for all stages of life. From back to school style, for youths looking to express their personality, to denim appropriate office-wear that feels tasteful and timeless, these pieces will have you wondering how you ever got dressed without them.
For the office, pair the iconic 501 original jeans, which feature a classic straight leg fit in 12 wearable shades, with their Nola stripe shirt and loafers, then re-work your jeans with trainers and the Dry Good’s wrap t-shirt for a more relaxed look. And, let’s not forget the Levi’s Trucker Jacket, which has been around for over 50 years and is sure to work hard in your wardrobe for years to come.
Plus, you can complete your looks with on-trend accessories in the form of classic backpacks for busy days, or, their mini icon tote bag, which gives a playful nod to the mini bag trend. One things for sure, whatever your day holds, Levi’s have you covered.

It’s official: mini bags are out! Or at least they are according to Jennifer Lawrence and Angelina Jolie, who were spotted out and about with much larger arm candy this week.
Over recent years we’ve fallen out of love with the humble tote bag, reserving it for lugging our laptop to the office or sporadic trips to the beach, but we’re pleased to say it’s had a resurgence as of late. No longer do you need to choose between fitting your phone, cardholder or lipgloss into a teeny-tiny bag (if you ever managed to fit all three, I salute you) as the return of the tote means we can once again go back to carrying everything but the kitchen sink for those just in case moments.
This season, however, any old tote bag just won’t do, as elevated styles are reigning supreme. Think leather fabrications, upgraded detailing like quilting and woven designs and understated logos.
Jennifer Lawrence’s tote bag of choice from Loewe is the perfect example of the new tote wave. Made of soft yet durable leather, the geometric puzzle design is understated yet iconic. Plus, it cleverly folds flat with an origami inspired design for easy storage when you’re not using it, offering the perfect combination of practicality and style.
But, the new tote bag wave doesn’t mean logo designs are totally off the table. Celine’s Triomphe print tote, as chosen by Angelina, and Saint Laurent’s quilted style still tap into the elevated mood without hiding their designer credentials. To pull off this look, make your bag the focal point of your outfit so it still feels sophisticated and opt for muted tones rather than anything too bright or garish.

These days, Sofia Richie Grainge doesn’t seem to put a foot wrong in the style stakes. From her iconic Chanel wedding gown to her quiet luxury honeymoon wardrobe, she’s been turning out look after look and we (myself included) have been lapping it up.
Her most recent instagram post however seems to have divided her normally adoring fan base. Posing effortlessly in her garden in a zigzag printed co-ord, black vest top and simple sandals, I’m on board with the chic summer fit. Others however were not so complimentary taking to the comments to exclaim “Pls say chevron isn’t back” and a much more decisive, “Chevron is not back.” Both comments racked up a healthy amount of likes so it seems they’re not alone in their dislike of the graphic print. But, I’m here to argue that Sofia Richie’s co-ord, and the iconic zigzag design, is so much more than just a “chevron print” and it’s not only back but it never really went away in the first place.
Made famous by Ottavio and Rosita Missoni at their namesake brand, the print first took hold in the 1960’s, showcased on delicate knitwear in bright colourways. It effortlessly brought together bohemian styling with bold geometric printing to create a motif that has now cemented itself in the fashion zeitgeist.
And it’s not just zig-zag print which we can credit to the brand, the sheer trend that’s having a resurgence also has its roots in Missoni heritage. In 1967, Rosita sent braless models down the runway wearing sheer tops and dresses, an act that caused much controversy among critics. So, next time you pull their design choices into question, just remember, Missoni walked so we could run.
When it comes to Sofia’s zig-zag print shirt and trousers combo, there are so many ways Missoni just got it right. From the muted colourway to the pyjama style piping, it’s laid-back luxe design that’s ideal for easy summer wearing. While Sofia’s daytime styling of a black vest and sandals suits her current understated vibe, I’ll argue this would also look great buttoned up and worn with low black slingbacks too for dinner and drinks, proving zigzag print can be just as versatile as it is chic.
So, while some may not agree that chevron deserves a come back, I’m here to say if you invest in it now it’ll last in your wardrobe for seasons to come. Get on board with my edit of the best Missoni styles to shop right now…
This year it seems like wedding season has kicked into overdrive and I’ve somehow (very luckily) found myself invited to three weddings in just one month. Exciting? For sure. But, the hunt for the ultimate wedding guest dress is on!
The first is a university friend’s wedding in the English countryside. Next, a work friend’s wedding in Northern Ireland and to close, a friend’s boujee destination wedding in Mexico—I know, it’s a hard life! While I, of course, love the occasion of it all, three weddings in one month brings with it a certain amount of stress, not least when it comes to deciding what to wear to said events.
Not only do I need to find the right outfit to suit each wedding’s dress code, but then comes the ever-real fear that someone may turn up in the same dress as you. So, with this in mind, I’ve decided to step away from all my favourite high street stores and instead put Amazon fashion to the test. After all, it is Prime Day, so if I can find something truly unique and save some money too then that’s a huge win in my books.
Scroll down to see how I got on…
The countryside wedding
For an English countryside wedding, I’m all about channelling my surroundings and this ditsy floral dress does just that. Featuring a flattering halter neck strap and fun cut-out detailing, it’s ideal for wafting around a country house garden, while the thigh-high split leaves plenty of flexibility for when I’ll undoubtedly hit the dance floor in the evening. All it needs are simple gold earrings and block heels for the perfect finishing touch.

Allegra K Lace Up Chunky Heels
The destination wedding
Proof the perfect wedding guest dress does exist. This punchy pink number makes a serious statement, making it ideal for destination weddings where more is more. I love the tie-back detailing which not only adds interest but also means you can tailor the fit depending on your bust size. Matching heels like these will ensure the dress isn’t overshadowed (not that it could be) but I’d also add some fun colour-clashing earrings, in a contrasting tone like orange, to level up the look.

Allegra K Stiletto Lace-up Sandals
The black tie wedding
I’ll take any occasion to get glammed up these days and so for a black-tie wedding I want something that wows. This steel blue maxi dress exudes elegance and looks much more expensive than its £25 price tag thanks to the delicate draping and pretty backless detailing. For an ultra-chic feel, I’d slick my hair into a low bun and pair with drop earrings and strappy stilettos.
